Tonight it has been reported that Canadian Rock Star, Michelle Fung (formerly of little known band, Nirvana) has recruited an astonishing 234,056 relay participants for the Cork City Marathon in June under the alias of Team Moca Late. In an attempt to beat the system each participant is going to form a human centipede that will be required to run an astonishing zero miles each. Instead each member will simply hand the wrist band to the person in front of them until it arrives at the finish line. TML have been busy working it in Opera Lane recently in their new Topshop running gear.
In more serious news, 'the real deal' Team Gavin have been registering some serious mileage on the old milometer clock of late. Gavin upped his game to 13.1 miles at the Bay Run at the weekend, in a time of 1hr 40 while Murphy smashed the 40 minute barrier for 6 miles in rainy Ringaskiddy tonight, crossing the line in 38 minutes 14 seconds! TG will be partaking in this weekends half marathon in Bandon before attempting the first of 2 twenty mile training runs on Tuesday night, while the centipede sleeps xxxTG.
